Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. Since we've no place to go...Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!
I thought my snow days ended when I was done with school, but they have returned; another plus to having children! Addi and I made french toast this morning and she got so excited when I sprinkled "Snow" (powdered sugar) over it. It is so much fun experiencing things all over again through the eyes of a child. Though the wind blew the snow so hard that it stung our cheeks, we stayed outside and went sledding for 45 minutes. Addi finally agreed to come in when she did a face plant off of the sled (no, I didn't push her hard on purpose...it just...happened ;-) ). We are looking forward to see what Christmas brings this year. Though we know who CHRISTmas is all about, it is a lot of fun to bring back the wonder of Santa. We hope that all of you are doing well! We miss all of the Colorado/California/Portland/Seattle Clan like crazy!!! See all of you soon. May the warmth of Jesus and the joy of Santa enter your hearts this Christmas!

Long Time No Blog!!!

Yes, we know; we have been gone along time from the blogging world! Where does time go? Where do I start...We were very sad to see Becca go at the beginning of August, but it started a new chapter in Addi's life...PRESCHOOL! Okay, not exactly, but that is what we call it (no more daycare!). She started going to Hope Lutheran Learning Center which is a higher end daycare/preschool. She/We love it! Her little personality has blossomed beyond belief, she comes home with new words and songs everyday. Best of all, she has been healthy!!!!! The Lord answered our prayers at the right time.
Brice and I continue to grow our online business which is going pretty good. Hopefully, I will be home for good before too long ;-) We have been busy with life and cheering on K-State. Nana Alice and Papa Wheeler just visited us which everyone enjoyed. They got Addi her first "Bike"...so much fun. That folks, is what we have been up to. I'll try to do better with this blog thing!

Weeeeee!

Go Cats!!! Addi is praying for another touchdown. We had a lot of fun!

Going to Shcool.

Summer Fun!!

Sorry It's been soooo long since we last wrote! Life has gotten in the way once again. We have been having a lot of fun this summer. The best so far...Rachel's "little" sister, Becca, is out from Portland, OR for the month of July! We are so thankful that she could come out and help with our "Lil Bit"...aka Addi, Addison, Snickerdoodle...or whatever endearing term pops out of our mouth at that very moment ;-) Addi has really enjoyed getting to know her Auntie Becca...I think Becca likes her a little bit too. On the 4th of July, we went to a parade and carnival that Addi thought was pretty cool. She even liked the fireworks...until she fell asleep in Daddy's arms. We hope the month doesn't fly by too quickly; we will really miss having Becca around!

Daddy's Lil Helper

We have priorities here at the Ebert Ranch. We haven't started building on our house, but...the ginormous shop is almost done. Brice is extremely excited that it should be done by this fall. Steve, Brice's dad, and Brice have put many, many, many hours into this project. The bathroom is a cement room so it will also be our tornado shelter...if you didn't already know, The Ebert Ranch is located in Tornado Alley! Here are a few pics of the shop, the help, and our tornado damaged windmill.

The original rock barn.

I'm gonna get you!

Addi loves to sweep and clean ;-)

Steve and Brice at work.

The original windmill that had to come down.
We will put it back up with a new stand.

Addi's First ER Visit!

Thursday evening brought an unexpected visit to the ER. If you don't already know, Addison is absolutely CRAZY about her Daddy! She was so excited to see him when we got home and started running down our gravel driveway. Well, as you can imagine, her upper body was moving a little faster than her feet, and........FACE PLANT right into the gravel! There was a lot of blood, tears, and swelling...but no stitches! She ended up with a cut on her lip and some bruising on her forehead. The pics show the cut a little bit. This fun and exciting event has not put even a tiny hitch in her Giddy-Up though! I'm sure that this will not be our only visit; since then she has cut her finger by slamming it in a closet and received two more bumps on the head. I thought only boys got hurt like this!!

Pretty Girl!

Mommy can dress me pretty all she wants; I'm still going to be a tomboy if I want to!

We must, We must, We must increase our....

...lung capacity...what were you guys thinking? :-O We finally had our visit at Children's Hospital in Kansas City with the pulmonologist. And the diagnosis is.......ASTHMA! Hopefully with the "Asthma Plan" that our rockin Dr. Carver made for our little miss, we can get and keep her lungs healthy. She had a lot of fight in her the first couple of days with the mask, but now she enjoys the "movie time" ;-) Mom gets 30 minutes of complete down time too; no complaints there! Thanks for all of the prayers you have sent our way on Addi's health; I think the Man upstairs has started to listen to us!

Fun in the Sun

Today was the first day that was warm enough to play outside in the sprinklers (it's 89 out right now!). Don't worry, we only included pics of Addi in her bathing suit...we'll file the rest far, far away! Addi had so much fun...she threw the biggest fit when we had to come in for lunch and nap time :-(
